On October 18, 2013, the committee will discuss the safety and effectiveness of new drug application (NDA) 204684, miltefosine capsules, submitted by Paladin Therapeutics, Inc., for the proposed indication of treatment of patients with visceral (involving internal organs), mucosal (involving areas such as inside the mouth and nose), and cutaneous (involving the skin) leishmaniasis, an infection caused by a parasite.
